Project INK offers free HIV/STI testing and linkage to care services two Wednesdays out of the month at  AWOL. Meet with our engagement specialist, Heather Searfoss-Allaire for the evening and chat about additional services that our team has to offer.

Project INK uses INSTI Rapid HIV Testing technology. The INSTI HIV-1/HIV-2 Rapid Antibody Test is a rapid in vitro qualitative test for the detection of antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 and Type 2 in human whole blood, fingerstick blood, or plasma. You will receive results to your HIV test within minutes time and be able to receive a hard copy of your current HIV status.

Gonorrhea/Chlamydia testing is available via urine specimen, and syphilis testing is conducted via blood draw. All STI specimens are sent to Columbus Public Health to be tested. Columbus Public Health would then contact you if the test was reactive. “No news is good news”.

Linkage to care services range from retention into anti-retroviral treatment to health insurance enrollment and much more!
