Project INK staff offers FREE confidential and anonymous HIV/STI testing at Equitas Health Medical Center every Monday and Thursday from 11AM-7PM at Greater Columbus Mpowerment Center (889 E. Long St.)

The Mission of GCMC is to be at the forefront of HIV prevention, education, and advocacy for MSM (men who have sex with men) Black and Latino male community. The Greater Columbus Mpowerment Center (GCMC) strives to be a visible voice and a vehicle for accountability with the goal of ending stigma and providing mental and social support for the community members.

Project INK uses INSTI Rapid HIV Testing technology. The INSTI HIV-1/HIV-2 Rapid Antibody Test is a rapid in vitro qualitative test for the detection of antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 and Type 2 in human whole blood, fingerstick blood, or plasma. You will receive results to your HIV test within minutes time and be able to receive a hard copy of your current HIV status.

Project INK also offers testing for the following sexually transmitted infections (STI): syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea. Syphilis tests are conducted through a blood draw by a certified phlebotomist on staff. Chlamydia/Gonorrhea tests are conducted through urine specimens.

Chlamydia/Gonorrhea and syphilis tests are sent to Columbus Public Health for analyzing of specimens. Columbus Public Health will then be in contact directly with individual clients about their results. “No news is good news”, Columbus Public Health will only contact client if a test comes back reactive.
